Report Writing

There are many skills required to communicate accurately and objectively about the life, needs and desires of service users, particularly individuals whose capacity for communication is limited or reducing over time.

SCOTVQ offers two different courses on written communication and report writing.

Introduction to written communication and report writing

This course introduces participants to the requirements of the Care Commission and Scottish legal system for making written entries in the records of vulnerable adults or children. The course covers basic skills in providing written communication to share with colleagues, other professionals and with service users themselves. The content and objectives are tailored to the context of participants.

Writing reports on complex needs

This course has been designed specifically for people who are required to write reports for Panels, Case Conferences and Reviews or to bring together a wide range of information and questions regarding an individual or family with complex needs. The course is tailored to the needs of participants and their employing organisation.
